NextHealth is seeking an experienced, resourceful Director of Finance to establish and maintain all financial aspects of the company. This position plays a key role in establishing the proper control environment; including the implementation of financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. This position directs, plans and manages the day-to-day, weekly and monthly accounting activities that are required to produce the monthly financial reports.

This position will be the sole finance position for the company and will be responsible for AP/AR/GL/etc. that may differ from other Director roles.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proactive communication and reporting on fiscal matters to executive team, internal customers and external business partners
  • Maintain financial procedures and controls for accounting operations, ensuring that appropriate controls and security are in place
  • Process accounts receivable, including billable travel expenses
  • Process accounts payable, including employee reimbursements
  • Monthly reconciliation of credit card statements
  • Assist with budget preparation and management of budget variances
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Preparation of internal financial statements including a Profit & Loss Statement and a Cash Flow Statement
  • Scheduled, regular review and discussion of financial statements with internal business partners
  • Assistance in the reconciliation of other general ledger accounts, the preparation of month-end adjusting journal entries
  • Advisement as needed regarding accounting or financial best practices

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • CPA / MBA or related advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience managing the accounting function in a medium or large size company
  • Strong background in finance, budgeting, investing, and cash management
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Quick Books proficiency and/or other bookkeeping our accounting software
  • Previous early stage company experience is a plus
