Director of People Operations



The Director of People Operations will report to the SVP Operations and have overall responsibility for NextHealth’s Human Resources function. This position is a critical member of the company’s Senior Leadership Team.


  • Design, develop and evaluate human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain the organization’s HR-related policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Lead the orchestration of our performance review process and its integration with our total rewards philosophy and programs.
  • Support the Senior Leadership team by providing counsel and guidance on matters regarding employee relations.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding efforts.
  • Partner with our PEO vendor to manage payroll and benefits administration.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives to drive high employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure the company’s compliance.


  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in human resources.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in an early stage company.
  • Effective people leadership and ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Experience and interest in wearing multiple hats to get the job done – high level of flexibility and grit.
  • Self-starter who can operate autonomously and with sound judgment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence.
  • College degree from an accredited institution; advanced degree (e.g. MBA) preferred.
