We are in search of a Human Resources Manager, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the VP of Finance & HR. The role will include overseeing and handling most of the People Operations duties. You will interface with all employees and support the company to hire and retain very top talent as well as reaching our goals in a growing company. This role will have high visibility within our organization and requires the ability to change focus based on changing business demands, as well as a desire to execute and deliver quickly to keep pace with the business.

Responsibilities

  • Represent People Operations in the organization and be the primary owner of the HR function.
  • Manage the entire recruitment process to support the company’s continual talent needs with continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Define consistent data-driven hiring metrics and goals, and ensure targets are met.
  • Manage and improve an amazing onboarding experience for new employees.
  • Provide HR subject matter expertise to the business by supporting all employee questions and People Ops programs, policies, and other HR-related items.
  • Manage elements of the Performance Management process and employee engagement surveys throughout the year.
  • Develop and revise policies and procedures including the employee handbook.
  • Be a liaison between the professional employer organization (PEO) and our employees including payroll oversight.
  • Adhere to HR best practices to an evolving startup and a fast pace business.
  • Promote an inclusive, fun, helpful environment for all employees and drive a culture of high employee engagement and accountability.
  • Ensure legal compliance is continually being met and drive resolution for employee issues.
  • Support the evolution and execution of our compensation philosophy and processes.
  • Handle special requests, events, activities, and other projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, HR Development, Business Management or related field.
  • 5+ years of human resources generalist experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in an early stage company.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize daily operations, and execute good project management skills for short and long-term projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with recruitment.
  • Experience with taking initiatives through conclusion.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices.
  • Proven interpersonal skills to interact and communicate effectively with a diverse population.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters discretely and diplomatically.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and flexibility.
  • Ability to move through ambiguity, taking action in order to make progress and learn, and making improvements based on new information.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining employees.
  • Ability to lead, influence, and motivate individuals and teams.
  • Tactful collaboration and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathize with others and anticipate, respond, and pivot to the needs of the employees and business.

Desired

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification.
  • Experience with ADP TotalSource or other PEO system.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management.
