Healthcare executives representing 28% of covered lives in the United States gather to discuss creating a culture of measurement

DENVER, CO — Wednesday, February 28, 2018 — NextHealth Technologies, an analytics platform that measures and optimizes health plans’ program spend to drive faster and more informed business decisions, reduced costs, and improved outcomes, today announced that it is hosting its spring Executive Advisory Council in Redmond, Washington at Microsoft’s Executive Briefing Center March 1-2, 2018. Senior executives on the council represent a mix of national, regional and blues health plans as well as state healthcare authorities, and they collectively oversee 28% of the covered lives in the United States.

The Executive Advisory Council (“EAC”) is an invitation-only think tank that brings together biannually some of healthcare’s most innovative minds to discuss cost containment strategies for health plans in a collaborative, small-group setting. The intent is to inspire and connect in a time of sea change in the industry. The focus for the March event is to explore how to test and learn to create a “culture of measurement” for a sustainable competitive advantage.

“Other industries have been capitalizing for many years on the value generated by rapidly and affordably testing and iterating on what works,” said Eric Grossman, CEO of NextHealth. “For health plans facing down shifting market forces, potential disruption, and political uncertainty, there has never been a more critical time to accelerate their ability to make better, faster decisions based on data to drive down costs and allocate investment dollars.”

“Microsoft is dedicated to increasing innovation and impact in healthcare leveraging the cloud and AI,” said Sam Robinson, national director, Health Plan Industry, U.S. Health and Life Sciences at Microsoft. “Working with NextHealth and industry innovators represents our commitment to provide value and drive down costs in health care.”
